Personal Motivation

  1. In 2017, I lost my home to the devastating Tubbs Fire in Santa Rosa, a direct reminder of how climate change is intensifying natural disasters.

  2. From 2015 to 2017, I lived in Beijing, China, where I experienced firsthand the effects of severe pollution—from smog-filled skies to the everyday challenges of living in an environment burdened by poor air quality.

  3. During the pandemic, I supported my best friend in transforming a Brooklyn brownstone into a passive home, further solidifying my belief that solutions like electrification and decarbonization can and should be accessible to everyone.
